  • Stocks & Securities - If you own stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other assets that have increased in value, it may be advantageous to make your gift directly in the form of securities rather than cash. For more information or to make a gift, call (425) 432-2119.

  • Matching gifts - Double your impact! Did you know that some employers match, double, or even triple employee donations? You can increase the value of your gift by returning your company's matching gift form with your contribution. Ask your employer about matching your gift to Vine Maple Place.

  • The Hope Builders Alliance - By becoming a member of this fantastic group, you can to help homeless families on a longer-term basis. See our Hope Builders Alliance brochure for more information.

·         Give to a special fund:

o        The Faith Gudgel Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund. When Faith died of cancer at age 28, family and friends established a scholarship fund in her name to keep her memory alive and to also give homeless parents a chance at training for livable-wage jobs. As one young mother said, “It’s wonderful to feel hope again!”

o        The Children's Hope Fund provides for outside activities, schooling, and special needs of the children who reside at Vine Maple Place.

Other ways to help

  • Donate useable household items in excellent condition: furniture, household supplies, and other needed items. Our Acceptable Donations List explains the household items we can accept, and our Wish List gives ideas for specific items needed by our families or our program. Those desiring to know what their donations might be worth for tax purposes can check the Salvation Army’s Donation Value Guide.

  • When you browse the internet, consider using GoodSearch, powered by Yahoo! If you designate Vine Maple Place as your favorite charity, GoodSearch will make a donation to us with every search. It doesn't cost you a thing — the money comes from the advertisers. The more people who use this site, the more money will go to the homeless families we serve. So spread the word to your friends and family. You can also read about GoodSearch in the NY Times, Oprah's O Magazine, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and more.

  • Volunteer at Vine Maple Place—either as a group or as an individual. Email us to inquire about group and individual volunteer opportunities.

  • Rent a home or apartment to Vine Maple Place. In conjunction with our Transition in Place program, a unit is rented to us at a lower-than-market rate, and the upfront fees are waived. Then families who are still completing the program but whose time is up at our on-site facility can remain connected to VMP while gradually taking over the rent payments. This allows them to remain in the housing and avoid trauma of another move.

  • Pray for the homeless children and families who come to Vine Maple Place seeking new lives. Pray they will have the resources they need to overcome the difficulties they face in rebuilding their lives. If you do not already receive our newsletter so you'll know about our needs, you can sign up for it here.

  • Tell your family and friends how Vine Maple Place is giving hope, help, and housing to homeless children and their families. Then ask them to help.

  • If you'd like to talk with us personally about other ideas you may have, come to a 60-minute Vision of Hope Tour presented by members of the staff or board. You'll see our facilities, watch a 7-minute video, hear a brief presentation, and have opportunity to ask questions. We'd love for you to bring a guest along, too. Call us at (425) 432-2119, email us at info@VineMaplePlace.org, or use our Contact Us form.
