From Fear to Hope: Ari’s First Step Forward

Ari was overwhelmed. Kicked out of a hotel she couldn’t afford, she sat for hours, exhausted and hopeless, as her newborn cried. Strangers, worried for their safety, called the police. When officers brought her to Vine Maple Place, she broke down in relief, especially when she learned they could move into shelter that very day.

But Ari needed more than a safe place. Paralyzed by fear and stress, she struggled to trust anyone. Even stepping into the Family Hope Center felt impossible.

Because of you, she had the time and space to heal.

Slowly, she built trust with her housing specialist, counselors, and the kids' team. She pushed herself to attend classes, meet with her counselor, and connect with other moms. Each step was hard, but she kept going.

Now, she’s working full-time, managing her anxiety, and creating stability for her child. She’s not done yet, but she’s determined and hopeful for the future.

This life-changing work is possible because of you. Thank you for caring for families in crisis.
